Making an Impact: A Look into our Upskilling Program in India

In recent news, the UN projects that there will be a 60% skills gap deficit among young individuals by 2030. As part of our consistent commitment to our mission, “Helping the World Work,” Pride Global seeks to enhance skills proficiency globally and contribute to closing this gap. Through our upskilling initiative DEED, we are improving skills proficiency among socio-economically disadvantaged youth. 

DEED stands for develop, educate, empower, and deploy and is a four-month intensive upskilling program, designed to provide socio-economically marginalized youth with critical job market skills and job placement. DEED’s instructional curriculum focuses on how to communicate proficiently with both leadership and colleagues, encompassing behavioral, functional, and soft skill development, while also providing technical knowledge of commonly utilized platforms such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. 

The inaugural group of students who participated in the DEED program have achieved tangible success, possessing both the assurance and abilities needed for the business world. In addition, we're proud to announce that due to their superb performance during the work training period, 100% of the pilot cohort have been employed by Pride India and are now integral members of our team. Today, the training of the second group of students is underway and we look forward to their forthcoming achievements with great excitement. 

In today’s rapidly changing job market, it is crucial to upskill young populations for their success, providing them with the tools to enhance employability, overcome barriers, and drive economic growth. In a span of four months, encompassing thirty-one different skills, our students learn how to launch their careers and emerge as highly proficient job candidates.
